Chris Champness
I began knitting in 2005 and soon became 'hooked' with the variety of yarns and patterns and the pleasure of creating something new and original.
As my experience grew I began tweaking patterns, alternating colours, and adding embellishments to create unique items.
In 2013, I discovered knitting with silver wire and I soon expanded my creations to household decorations and jewellery, which I enhance with crystals and glass beads. I never use patterns for knitted wire, ensuring the originality of each piece.
What I Do
Here’s What I Can Provide
Workshops
I offer a variety of workshops either for groups or individuals.
Groups - you can either make your own pair of knitted earrings or a beautiful wire flower (shown in the image above). No knitting skill is required as I provide the base of the earring or flower for you to build upon.
Individuals can learn to knit or crochet with me in a series of lessons. Or, if you can already knit or crochet, you could book a one off lesson to learn to use wire.

Commissions
Wire and yarn are incredibly versatile and can be made in to any shape or design. Specific colours could also be chosen.
If you have something you would really like made, please get in touch and I will see what I can do!
Do you have a special piece of sea glass or a favourite gem stone? Send it to me and I can turn it into a beautiful necklace or bracelet.
